Pashinyan accepts the reality

The lawmakers of the U.S., France, and the Netherlands are trying to be more Armenian than the Armenians themselves. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wants to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan and activate the corridors. Pashinyan is not concerned about the fate of the Karabakh separatists in Azerbaijani prisons, and he believes that the issue of Karabakh is over for his country. Delving deeper, the release of the separatists in prison does not serve Pashinyan's interests, as they would join his rivals upon being freed and pose a threat to the Armenian government. In none of Pashinyan's statements has he mentioned the return of Armenians to Karabakh; he has reconciled with the existing reality.

Axar.az reports that these remarks were made by political scientist Elkhan Shahinoglu.

“When Nikol Pashinyan urges the Armenian society to forget everything related to Karabakh, the lawmakers from the U.S., France, and the Netherlands are doing Armenia a disservice by raising issues such as the release of separatists, the preservation of ‘Armenian cultural heritage’ in Karabakh, and the return of Armenians to Karabakh. After a peace agreement is signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the Zangezur corridor is opened, the normalization of relations between the two states will begin, and the actions of those moving together with the Armenian lobby will only harm Armenia. We should strive to prevent the ranks of the U.S., France, and the Netherlands from expanding and ensure that lawmakers from other countries do not fall under the influence of the Armenian lobby,” the political scientist stated.
