Meeting on Eastern Partnership held in Bratislava

Metting on the Eastern Partnership program in the framework of the two-day informal meeting of foreign ministers of EU countries held in the Slovak capital Bratislava. The meeting was attended by the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and the enlargement Johannes Hahn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcak, as well as the foreign ministers of member countries of the Eastern Partnership program.

According to EU Commissioner J.Hahn, in the course of the meeting the participants discussed the future of the Eastern Partnership, as well as prospects for its development.

The Eastern Partnership program, aimed at bringing the EU's six eastern neighbors - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus - was launched in 2009. It was initiated by Poland and Sweden.
