Amiri mentioned that during the meetings, a positive groundwork for cooperation and the normalization of relations had been established.

"In the Caucasus, Azerbaijan is our first target, but unfortunately, due to the incident at Azerbaijan's embassy in Tehran, problems have arisen in the relations between the two countries. The efforts of the Iranian government are to rebuild these relations and restore ties between the peoples of the two countries. Agreements have been reached on various issues regarding land borders, especially with the Nakhchivan border, as well as on airspace matters for Azerbaijani tourists traveling to Mashhad and Tabriz," the minister emphasized.

The Iranian minister also addressed the reopening of Azerbaijan's embassy in Tehran, noting that Iran's ambassador will soon be sent to Baku:

"The relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, two brotherly, friendly, and Muslim nations, must be normalized."
