Azerbaijani wrestler wins gold medal in Astana

The "Wrestling Stars League" freestyle wrestling competition was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Axar.az reports that according to the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, Aganezer Novruzov (74 kg), representing Azerbaijan, defeated all his opponents to claim the top spot on the podium.

Initially, our compatriot defeated Kazakhstan's Kanat Mussabekov 3:1. Novruzov then overcame Russia's Anzor Zakuyev with a 2:1 victory. In the final, Aganəzər triumphed over Uzbekistan's Mirzo Khaitov with a score of 4:1.
