Iranian MP accuses Azerbaijan

Representatives of the Azerbaijani state and media have insulted the Islamic Republic of Iran and our senior officials more than 200 times in the past two years. We have maintained respect so far, demonstrating magnanimity because we recognize borders.

Axar.az reports that this was written by Rouhollah Motafakkerazad, a member of the Iranian parliament from Tabriz, on his X account.

He expressed frustration not with Amoli's actions, but with the reactions to them:

"If Mr. Aliyev does not maintain respect over the mistake of an ordinary person, we will decisively give a worthy response!"

Tabriz-based social media users reacted sharply to the MP's post.

It should be noted that the so-called "MP of Tabriz," who has embarrassed the city, cannot even provide a single example of Azerbaijani state representatives insulting Iran. As for the media, Iranian outlets, including those close to the IRGC, and their "political analysts," have always used harsh language against Azerbaijan, to which the Azerbaijani media has responded appropriately.

Moreover, the insult against the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkiye during an event organized by Ardabil’s Friday Imam and Khamenei’s local representative, Hassan Amoli, and broadcast on state television, cannot be considered a "mistake of an ordinary person." Amoli is not an ordinary person; he is Khamenei's official representative, and the event was broadcast live on state TV. The insult was not even edited out by Iranian state media.

In this regard, the so-called deputy from Tabriz, a servant of Persian interests, has chosen to join the chorus of attacks against Azerbaijan instead of apologizing for the rudeness of Amoli and his followers. This shows that the driving force behind this policy is far from ordinary individuals.

It seems that the flood affecting Iran is not washing away the debris but rather uprooting the stumps.
