We will inevitably come to what Russia is now talking about: the countries of the South Caucasus must resolve all their problems with their close neighbors.

Axar.az reports that, citing APА, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this during his annual press conference today.

"They claim that the EU mission will ensure security in Armenia's Syunik region, but this is not very clear. For this reason, the initiative to create the "3+3" mechanism involving the South Caucasus countries and their neighbors has been supported. I believe this is a more productive format," emphasized the Russian Foreign Minister.

Lavrov also spoke about the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia:

"It now seems that Armenia and Azerbaijan have practically reached an agreement on a peace treaty, and it is clear that it is difficult to bypass the remaining two issues. They need to be resolved: either yes or no."
