Azerbaijan backs Turkiye’s aid to Syria

Turkiye extended the first helping hand to Syria, and Azerbaijan also expressed its support for this process.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this at a joint press conference held in Baku on January 18 with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.

"Last year, Azerbaijan sent a humanitarian aid convoy to Syria. We are currently assisting them in various directions. We will help depending on your options. It is important for Syria to become one of the actors in the system of international relations," he added.
