It is unacceptable for several religious figures in Iran to participate in anti-Azerbaijani activities.

Axar.az reports that this issue was brought to the attention of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan, Sayyid Jafar Aghayi Maryan, who was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

It was stated that instead of the apology of Friday Imam Sayyid Hasan Amuli for the insulting statements made against Azerbaijan during the meeting in Ardabil, it is unacceptable to conduct a campaign in support of Amuli and for several religious figures, including the Gazvin Friday Imam, to participate in anti-Azerbaijani activities.
