The captain of the aircraft of the airline "Cathey Pacific" flying on the Hong Kong-London route sent a request for an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Axar.az reports that Baku Airport published a statement on this.

It was stated that the reason for this was the deterioration of the health of one of the passengers.

The "Airbus A350" aircraft successfully landed at the airport at 19:08 local time.

"The passenger was promptly provided with first aid, and after assessing his condition, he was immediately taken to a medical facility," the statement emphasized.

It was noted that regular training exercises are held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport to promptly respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of passengers and crew members.
