Azerbaijan denies border checkpoints reports

Information has been disseminated on Internet resources about the establishment of checkpoints in the border regions of Azerbaijan with Russia.

Axar.az reports that the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that there is no need to establish checkpoints on the Azerbaijani side in the events held in the border regions under the conditional name of "Border Shield", information exchange is carried out based on mutual agreement between the countries.

The main purpose of these events, which have been held for many years, is to keep in mind the implementation mechanism of decisions made on cross-border cooperation issues.
