Weather Update: Snow, fog, and strong winds in Azerbaijan

According to the information as of 10:00 on February 16, the weather in the country was mostly dry, but in some places, there was occasional precipitation in the first half of the day on the 15th.

Axar.az reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service was informed about this.

Snow fell in the mountainous regions, the depth of the snow was 18 in Lerik, 16 in Gryz, 9 in Shahdag, 7 in Shahbuz, 3 in Dashkesan, 2 in Gusar (Laza), 1 in Khaltan, Yardimli.

The west wind blew. Following the yellow warning, the wind speed increased to 18 m/s in Sadarak, Dashkesan, and Gobustan, and up to 15 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.

Fog is observed in Nakhchivan, Sharur, Dashkesan, Gadabay, Balakan, Sheki, Gabala, Shamakhi, Gobustan, Khaltan, Yevlakh, Goychay, Zardab, Jafarkhan, Lerik, Aghdam.

Visibility in the fog is limited to 500-1000 meters.

The minimum air temperature was recorded at 6 degrees in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, up to 4 degrees in the Aran regions, 8 degrees in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and up to 14 degrees in the mountainous regions.
