Yesterday, a new group of Ukrainian children — children of prisoners of war, those missing in action, and fallen defenders of Ukraine — arrived in Azerbaijan for rest and rehabilitation.
Axar.az reports that Ukraine’s Ambassador to our country, Yuriy Husyev, wrote about this on his Facebook.
The group was welcomed by the team of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with the head of the Ukraine–Azerbaijan interparliamentary relations working group, Member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alibala Maharramzada.
The children will have the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation at a sanatorium in the city of Guba, discover the beauty of Azerbaijani culture, and also visit the Ukrainian Center in Baku and notable landmarks in the city. This is already the ninth group of children from Ukraine to come to Azerbaijan for rest and rehabilitation since the beginning of the full-scale war.
We sincerely thank the leadership and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the team of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and all benefactors and sponsors, for their support of our children during the time of Russian aggression. This is not only a true sign of friendship between our peoples but also an important contribution to strengthening the Ukrainian–Azerbaijani strategic partnership.
