First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyev, and Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, visited the orphanage No. 1 in the Nasimi district of Baku and the orphanage No. 1 social service institution in the Nizami district on April 15.
Axar.az reports that there are currently 63 children under the age of 3 in the orphanage No. 1. First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visit here regularly, are always interested in the health of the babies, their living conditions, and treat the little ones with special care.
It should be noted that the building of the orphanage, built in 1930, underwent major repairs and reconstruction at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The opening of the orphanage took place on May 10, 2015, with the participation of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which is constantly distinguished by its noble initiatives, pays special attention to the healthy physical and moral upbringing of children deprived of parental care, as well as their education. Thus, it makes a significant contribution to the policy implemented by the Azerbaijani state regarding children, who are our future.

First Ladies Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva also often visit this institution, meet with its residents on holidays, and delight them with gifts.
Currently, there are 100 children aged 3 to 18 in the orphanage social service institution No. 1. All conditions have been created here for them to receive education, engage in sports, and ensure their health.
The residents of the institution have always welcomed their beloved guests, First Ladies Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva, with poetry, songs, and a literary program. This time was no exception.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been paying attention to this institution since its inception, carrying out important work to ensure that teenagers living here study in higher education institutions, provide them with jobs, and develop their professional skills. The opening of this institution, which was completely renovated with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was held in 2005 with the participation of the First Lady of Azerbaijan. In 2017, two residents of this institution got married. Their wedding was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and the young people were given an apartment and a car.
