The NATO-Georgia 2025 military exercises have begun in Georgia. The exercise is being held at the Joint Military Center in Krtsanisi near Tbilisi.
Axar.az reports that the Georgian Ministry of Defense has released information about this.
Deputy Defense Minister of Georgia Giorgi Liluashvili, Deputy Commander of the Defense Forces Zaza Chkhaidze, and NATO Military Liaison Officer Berat Telli spoke about the importance of the exercise and wished the participants success in the implementation process.
It was noted that this is the fourth event in the series of NATO-Georgia exercises held in Georgia every three years. “NATO-Georgia Exercise 2025” is a computer-assisted brigade-level command and staff exercise, and its purpose is to train a multinational brigade-level unit under the leadership of the Georgian side in the planning and execution of crisis operations. The exercise will combine a field component with a multinational headquarters exercise, further demonstrating the command and control capabilities of the JTEC and helping to improve coordination.
“NATO-Georgia Exercise 2025” is planned by NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SHAPE) and the General Staff of the Georgian Defense Forces and is conducted following a NATO-developed scenario, relevant procedures, and doctrines.
The multinational exercise involves representatives from 17 NATO member and partner countries, including the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.
