He first defeated Canadian Liam Gorton, 4:2.

The graduate of the Ganja wrestling school gave Greek Konstantinos Mikhailidis no chance in the 1/8 finals – 11:0. Ismayilov then knocked out Kyrgyz Adisbek Altynbekov with difficulty – 2:1. Huseyn was stronger than Kazakh Yerali Askerbek in the semifinals – 3:1. The national member will wrestle with American Arseniy Kikinyov in the final tomorrow.

Ravan Hasanzadeh (48 kg) knocked out Belarusian Makar Markovich ahead of schedule – 12:0. Our compatriot also emerged victorious from a tense match with Uzbek Jahangir Tulkunov – 4:2. Ravan lost to American Ariah Mills in the semifinals with a score of 2:7. Hasanzade will wrestle tomorrow with the winner of the Giorgi Narimanidze (Georgia) – Islam Rabadanov (Russia) match for the bronze medal.

Ruslan Alizade (55 kg) won 10:0 over both Moldovan Dan Bulgaru and Canadian Aaharen Piranavan. Our wrestler faced Russian Chingis Sariglar in the 1/4 finals. Although Ruslan had a 6:1 advantage, he lost the initiative and ultimately left the mat disappointed with a minimal margin (8:9).

Nihad Suleymanli (80 kg) rejoiced at a confident victory over Armenian Vache Aslanyan in his debut, 7:1. Suleymanli was also close to reaching the 1/4 finals. However, Nihad, who missed the victory with 3 seconds left, lost to Russian Issa Zangiyev with a score of 5:7.
