The World Championship in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is coming to an end.

Axar.az reports that on the eighth day of the competition, the Greco-Roman wrestling competition in the 60, 67 and 87 kg categories started. Murad Mammadov (63 kg) defeated Bayaman Karimova from Kyrgyzstan with a score of 8:5. In the next match, our wrestler overcame Turkish Kerem Kamal with a trick he used in the last seconds (5:3) and entered the 1/4 finals. However, at this stage, he lost to Iranian Mohammad Keshtkar - 0:8.

Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) defeated Venezuelan Neyser Hidalgo and Australian Tsuchika Shimoyamada with a score of 9:0 and reached the 1/4 finals. At this stage, Hasrat, who was stronger than Armenian Slavik Galstyan (4:3), faced Kyrgyzstan's Razzak Beyshekeyev in the semifinals and won 3:1 to qualify for the world championship final again. Jafarov will face Iranian Olympic, world and Asian champion Said Esmaili in the decisive match tomorrow.

Islam Abbasov (87 kg) eliminated Belarusian Stanislav Shafarenko (UWW) with complete superiority (8:0), but lost to Kyrgyzstan's Asan Janishov in the 1/8 finals with a score of 3:4.
