FIFA plans to change the offside rule ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

According to the new rules, a player will only be considered offside if they are completely ahead of the defender.

The final decision on the change is expected to be made at the FIFA Congress in March 2026.

It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
