Eduard Mammadov — head of the Sports-Training Department of the Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, police lieutenant colonel, vice-president of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation, and multiple World and European champion — won two gold medals at the WAKO Kickboxing World Championship held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on November 21–30. He competed in the “Master Class” category, 63 kg weight class, in two disciplines.

Axar.az reports that he shared the news on his social media account.

He defeated Singh Gurmeir from the United Kingdom, Cortes Emanuel from Portugal, and Simon Calogero from Italy in the “light contact” discipline; and Alvarsson Ola from Sweden and Gallant Benjamin from Canada in the “kick light” discipline.

Thus, the vice-president of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation has become a WAKO world champion for the 10th time in total.
