Prosinecki appointed head coach of Kyrgyzstan national team

Former Azerbaijan national team boss Robert Prosinecki has officially taken over as head coach of Kyrgyzstan.

Axar.az informs the Kyrgyz Football Union confirmed the appointment, announcing that the 56-year-old Croatian has signed a 13-month deal. The contract includes a three-year extension option, if Kyrgyzstan performs well at the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.

Prosinecki, who led Azerbaijan from 2014 to 2017, was most recently in charge of Montenegro’s national team.
