Vietnam has launched an ambitious architectural project that is set to make waves in the football world.

Axar.az reports that construction of the “Trong Dong” Stadium has begun on the outskirts of Hanoi.

Once completed, the arena will officially become the world’s largest stadium designed exclusively for football. The project is reported to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The stadium’s specifications are striking. The arena will have a capacity of 135,000 spectators. One of the most distinctive features of the project is that it will have the world’s largest retractable roof. Thanks to this system, tropical rainfall and extreme heat in the region will not interfere with the smooth staging of matches.

It should be noted that the massive construction project is scheduled to be fully completed in August 2028.
