Balabey Agayev wins gold at Paris Grand Slam

At the “Grand Slam” tournament in Paris, Azerbaijan’s judoka Balabey Agayev has secured a place in the final.

Axar.az reports, citing the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, that Agayev defeated Israeli judoka Yitzhak Ashpiz in the semifinal, advancing to the final of the Paris Grand Slam for the third time in his career.

Balabey Agayev went on to win the gold medal at the Paris Grand Slam. In the final, he faced Ukrainian judoka Dilshot Khalmatov.

By defeating his opponent, Agayev claimed the top spot on the podium.
