Fans of England’s Newcastle United remembered Tofiq Bahramov ahead of their match against Qarabag.

Axar.az reports that sports journalist Sanan Shafizade shared a post about this.

He noted that the English media once again recalled Azerbaijan’s legendary football referee before the game.

“The visitors were asking and searching. The English media always remember him. Early in the morning, the first thing they showed was Tofiq Bahramov,” Shafizade wrote.

It should be noted that Tofiq Bahramov made a historic decision in the final of the 1966 FIFA World Cup Final, awarding England a goal against Germany. Germans still claim that the episode was not a goal.
