Qarabag is close to securing another transfer.

Axar.az reports that 26-year-old Gambian striker Zakaria Sawo has travelled to Azerbaijan to complete the formalities of his transfer.

It is reported that the player will undergo a medical in Baku, after which he is expected to sign a contract with the Agdam club.

The club’s interest in the player had become known in recent days, and the deal is currently in its final stage.

It is worth noting that Zakaria Sawo drew attention with his strong performances for the Cypriot side AEL over the past five months, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances. He is contracted to Djurgardens IF (Sweden). Throughout his career, Sawo has also represented BK Olympic, Oskarshamns (both Sweden), and IK Start (Norway).

As a reminder, Qarabag announced the signing of French winger Jaly Mouaddib on May 18.
