The second team to qualify for the play-off stage for a place in the Azerbaijan Premier League has been confirmed.

Axar.az reports that in the final 27th round of the First League, Mingachevir defeated Sabail and set up a play-off clash with Gabala.

The match, played at the reserve pitch of the Yashar Mammadzade City Stadium in Mingachevir, ended in a 4–1 win for the home side.

With this result, Mingachevir raised its total to 51 points, climbed to second place in the standings, and secured its place in the play-offs.

Sabail finished the season in third place with 50 points.

Thus, the second-placed First League team will face Gabala, which occupies 11th place in the Misli Premier League, in the play-off match for a spot in the top division.
