Baku to host Chovgan World Championship

The World Championship in Chovgan will be held at the Bina Equestrian Center from June 7 to 13.

Axar.az reports, according to the Equestrian Federation, national teams representing Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America will take part in the tournament.

Teams from Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Nigeria, Niger, Chile, Uruguay, and Kuwait will compete in the championship. The tournament aims to promote Chovgan traditions internationally, strengthen sports relations, and popularize the ancient horseback game worldwide.

“Throughout the competition week, spectators can expect intense rivalry, national traditions, and an unforgettable sporting atmosphere,” the statement emphasized.
