The Cabrayil football club listed for sale

The Cabrayil football club in Azerbaijan has been put up for sale, which competes in the First League.

Axar.az reports that the price set for the representative of the district bearing the same name in the Karabakh region is not low.

After completing two seasons in the First League, any individual or company wishing to acquire “Cabrayil” must pay 1 million manats. The club, which finished the recently concluded season in 9th place, currently has two founders — Cavid Huseynov and Shahin Mammadov. Both are now affiliated with different organizations.

While Shahin Mammadov is the founder and head coach of “Zangazur,” which secured promotion to the Second League as winners of the Regional League, C. Huseynov has recently taken over as head coach of “Araz-Nakhchivan.”

“Cabrayil” is currently operating without a sponsor. The team’s most recent financial backing came from Ceyhun Abbasov, the owner of “Avrora.”

The well-known businessman, who had been providing the club with monthly support of around 1,500–2,000 manats, has withdrawn his funding since early June.
