Iraq World Cup star Aymen Hussein detained at US airport

Iraq star striker Aymen Hussein was detained and questioned for nearly seven hours at Chicago O’Hare International Airport while traveling with the national team.

Axar.az reports, citing foreign media, that Hussein was eventually allowed to enter the United States.

However, the team's photographer, Talal Salah, was denied entry after being held for more than 10 hours, according to the report.

It should be noted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, with the tournament scheduled to begin on June 11.
