Russian football clubs won’t play in 2026/27 European season

Russian clubs will not participate in European competitions during the 2026/27 season.

Axar.az reports that UEFA's Executive Committee has updated the list of participants in its tournaments due to the continued suspension of Russian national teams and clubs from UEFA competitions.

The move confirms that Russian clubs will remain barred from UEFA tournaments for another season.

It should be noted that UEFA has excluded Russian teams from international competitions since February 2022.
