Tunisia to dismiss coach after heavy World Cup defeat

The Tunisian Football Federation is considering sacking head coach Sabri Lamouchi during the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 following a heavy 5–1 loss to Sweden in their opening group-stage match.

Axar.az reports, citing Al-Arabiya, the federation is also weighing a possible replacement with former national team coach Mondher Kebaier to lead the side for the remaining group fixtures.

The defeat marks Tunisia’s largest-ever loss in World Cup history and comes amid growing pressure on the coaching staff ahead of their next match against Japan.
