Qarabag signs Jamaican forward Renaldo Cephas

Continuing its transfer activities for the 2026/27 season, Qarabag has completed another signing.

Axar.az reports that the club announced that negotiations with Russian side Pari Nizhny Novgorod have been successfully concluded, and Jamaican footballer Renaldo Cephas has joined Qarabag.

The club has signed a three-year contract with the player, who can operate on both wings as well as in the center-forward position. The 26-year-old Jamaican will wear the club’s jersey until the summer of 2029.

Renaldo Cephas began his career at Jamaica’s Arnett Gardens, then played for Shkupi in North Macedonia and Ankaragucu in Turkiye before joining the Russian club in the summer of 2025.

A Jamaica international since 2023, Cephas has scored one goal in 21 appearances for the national team. He won a bronze medal at the 2024 CONCACAF Nations League.

It was noted that Renaldo Cephas is Qarabag’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window. Previously, Jaly Muaddib, Zakaria Sawo, Samuel Lobato, Bruno Langa, and Martin Zlomislic joined the club.
