Ibrahim Hasanov wins silver at U-17 wrestling worlds

Azerbaijan's Ibrahim Hasanov won a silver medal at the U-17 World Wrestling Championships in Baku.

Axar.az reports that competing in the 51 kg freestyle category, Hasanov lost 5-1 to Iran's Benyamin Mayvan in the final to finish second on the podium.

The result gave Azerbaijan's freestyle team one silver medal at the championships.

Earlier, Greco-Roman wrestlers Ali Javadli (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg) and Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) also claimed silver medals.

Omar Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkazov (60 kg) and Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) won bronze medals.
