Two Azerbaijani football clubs change names

First League club Jabrayil and Second League side Quba have changed their names.

Axar.az reports that according to the Professional Football League (PFL), Jabrayil will now compete as Ganjabasar, while Quba will play under the name Haypers.

The PFL said all legal procedures related to the name changes have been completed, and the required documents have been submitted.

Under the league regulations, a club that changes its name retains its PFL membership and assumes all rights and obligations associated with its previous identity.

Notably, in June this year, the Quba-based club had changed its name from Haypers Quba to Quba. It has now reverted to the Haypers name.
