Azerbaijan Finishes Third at European Judo Cup in Skopje

The European Judo Cup for juniors has concluded in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.

Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijan Judo Federation provided the information.

The national team won two gold and four bronze medals on the final day of the tournament.

Khadija Gadashova (-57kg) and Davud Namazli (-100kg) defeated all their opponents to win their respective weight categories.

Nargiz Ahmadova and Gulgez Musayeva (both -48kg), Ayten Verdiyeva (-57kg), and Canpolad Aliyev (-100kg) won bronze medals.

Earlier, on the first day of the competition, Nilgun Rzayeva (-63kg) also claimed a bronze medal.

Thus, Azerbaijan finished third in the team standings at the European Cup, which featured athletes from 33 countries, with a total of seven medals — two gold and five bronze.
