Qarabag to face Twente in Conference League playoffs

Azerbaijan's Qarabag will face Dutch side Twente in the UEFA Conference League playoff round, after Twente eliminated Slovakia's DAC Dunajska Streda in the third qualifying round.

Axar.az reports that Twente won the first leg 6-0 at home before drawing 3-3 in the return match, advancing 9-3 on aggregate.

Qarabag secured their place in the playoffs by beating Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 in Baku on Thursday, overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit to win the tie 2-1 on aggregate.

The first leg of the playoff tie will be played on Aug. 20, with the return leg scheduled for Aug. 27.
