Neftchi part ways with Imad Faraj

Neftchi winger Imad Faraj has joined Tunisian club Esperance, the Azerbaijani club announced on Friday.

Axar.az reports that the club said it accepted Esperance’s transfer offer after taking into account the 27-year-old French winger’s desire to continue his career with the Tunisian club.

The two sides have completed negotiations and reached an agreement.

Faraj joined Neftchi from Cypriot club AEK Larnaca in July 2025. He made 34 official appearances for the Baku club last season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists.
