Kovacs to referee Sabah-Hapoel Tel Aviv clash

UEFA Champions League playoff return leg between Sabah and Israel’s Hapoel Tel Aviv to be officiated by a Romanian refereeing team

Axar.az reports that the match, which will be held at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium on August 25, will be officiated by a Romanian refereeing team.

Istvan Kovacs will be the referee. He will be assisted by Mihai Marica and Ferencz Tunyogi as assistant referees. Szabolcs Kovacs will serve as the fourth official.

German referee Bastian Dankert will be the VAR official, while Romanian referee Catalin Popa will serve as his assistant.

The Sabah–Hapoel Tel Aviv match will kick off at 20:45.

The first leg ended with Hapoel Tel Aviv winning 2–1.
