The compensation fees paid for Qarabag’s two new signings, who joined the squad yesterday, have been revealed.

Axar.az reports, citing Qol.az, that the Aghdam-based club has signed Nigerian winger Taofeek Ismaheel and German attacking midfielder and winger Reda Khadra.

Both players were brought in to strengthen the team’s attacking options.

Taofeek Ismaheel was signed from Polish club Gornik Zabrze. The 26-year-old forward has signed a three-year contract.

Qarabag paid €1.2 million ($1.4 million) in compensation for him.

During his career, the Nigerian forward has also played for Norway’s Skeid, Fredrikstad and Valerenga, France’s Lorient, Belgium’s Beveren and Poland’s Lech.

Qarabag’s other new signing, Reda Khadra, joined from French club Reims. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a 2+1-year contract. Khadra will wear the No. 10 shirt.

It has been revealed that Qarabag also paid €1 million ($1.2 million) in compensation for Khadra.

A product of Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy, the player has previously represented Brighton, Birmingham City, Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers and Le Havre. He has also played for Germany’s U18 and U21 national teams.
