Bayern Munich opened their Bundesliga campaign with a 5-1 victory over VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena on Friday.

Axar.az reports, citing FC Bayern, that Dayot Upamecano put Bayern ahead in the 21st minute with a header from Joshua Kimmich’s corner.

Stuttgart equalized through Josha Vagnoman seven minutes after halftime, but Michael Olise restored Bayern’s lead three minutes later.

Vagnoman then scored an own goal in the 57th minute to make it 3-1. Aleksandar Pavlovic added a fourth in the 82nd minute before Luis Diaz completed the scoring in stoppage time.

Bayern captain Manuel Neuer also made his 600th competitive appearance for the club.

The remaining matches of the first round will be played on August 29 and 30.
