French football star Kylian Mbappe was among 36 personalities targeted in a suspected kidnapping plot organized by an 18-year-old inmate.

Axar.az reports, citing French media, that the suspect, identified as Clement L. and known by the nickname "Lester Z,” was already in prison on charges related to organized robbery and pimping.

He has now been charged alongside an accomplice over plans to kidnap several high-profile figures, including footballers, rappers and wealthy entrepreneurs.

According to reports, Mbappe, the Real Madrid forward, was among the alleged targets.

Clément L. has been placed in solitary confinement as the investigation continues. He reportedly contested both his detention and isolation.
