Como will play Champions League home matches at its own stadium this season.

Axar.az reports that UEFA has officially approved the Italian club’s request to play its home matches at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium. Following inspections and renovation work at the arena, it was confirmed that the stadium meets the tournament’s requirements.

Thus, Como will host some of Europe’s most prestigious clubs at its picturesque stadium on the shores of Lake Como. To avoid moving its home matches to another venue, the club has carried out renovation work on access roads, lighting, media infrastructure, and security systems in cooperation with local authorities and engineering teams.

It should be noted that the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium, which opened in 1927, currently has a capacity of approximately 13,600 spectators.

Como will face Leipzig on September 10 in the league phase of the Champions League.
