Kopa, with his real name Kopaszewski, was the first tricolor footballer rewarded by the Ballon d'Or in 1958, when France finished 3rd in the World Cup. Passed by the mythical Stade de Reims and Real Madrid, Kopa had also won three times the Cup of Clubs champions, ancestor of the Champions League, with the Spanish club. He was 85 years old.
