Conte tells Jose Mourinho to mind his own business

Antonio Conte has slammed his predecessor Jose Mourinho for having too much interest in the goings on at Chelsea and told him to mind his own business.

Axar.az reports citing Newsweek that, the Italian coach has felt aggrieved in the past couple of weeks after seeing a growing list of first-team players unavailable due to injury, including N’Golo Kante, Alvaro Morata and Victor Moses.

After Manchester United’s victory against Benfica on Wednesday night, Mourinho mentioned managers who “moan and cry” about their injury woes—a reference Conte took personally.

“A lot of time Mourinho has to see what happens at Chelsea,” Conte said after a 3-3 draw with Roma on Wednesday, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“A lot of time, also last season. I think he has to think about his team and stop... to look at himself, not the others.”

Conte was infuriated further at Stamford Bridge after seeing his team squander a 2-0 lead at home to Roma, which also saw David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko suffer knocks.

But Conte took responsibility for the result, saying it was down to his change in style that allowed the Italian team back into the game. But, in doing so, he also took a swipe back at Mourinho, who has been accused for his defensive football after a drab goalless draw against Liverpool last weekend.

“I didn't like the type of football we did for a lot of the game, but it's right to take the responsibility for this,” Conte said.

But Chelsea’s hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stages are still firmly alive, with the London club leading Group C after three games.

“It was good to draw,” Conte added. “Roma deserved this result. I have to praise my players, because my players showed me a big effort, a big commitment tonight. Otherwise we lose the game.”
