Baku is capable of anything: The world saw it yesterday

It is not the first time that Azerbaijan hosts such a prestigious sports event.

MP Tahir Rzayev said this to Axar.az while speaking about the final match of the UEFA Europe League which was held last night in Baku. The deputy said that the footballers who came to our capital have made positive statements about the organization of the country and the match:

“European Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, Formula-1, gymnastics, boxing, and wrestling are an example for those. All of these competitions were held at a very high level, as was the case with yesterday’s final and given worthy value.

Of course, this is due to the socio-political environment in Azerbaijan, the care shown to the sport, and the kindness of our people."

According to Rzayev, none of the negative moments in the championships of the European giants like England have been registered in our country:

"As we all know, in countries where football competitions are usually held, various provocative movements are allowed during the championships, and fans are brawl each other. Even in the UK, there were great clashes during such competitions, but none of these things happened in Azerbaijan. The whole world saw that Azerbaijan is a politically stable country, our people are hospitable and our state is capable of holding such races at a high level in the future." - he added.

Let's remember that the UEFA Europa League final between two English teams, Arsenal and Chelsea, started in Baku at 23:00 local time.

The final match takes place at the 68,000-seat Baku Olympic Stadium.

In the first half, despite the efforts of the teams, the score was not opened.
