Dinamo Bucharest manager, Eugen Neagoe, suffered a suspected heart attack on the bench during his team's defeat by Craiova on Sunday.
Axar.az reports citing Dailymail that an ambulance rushed onto the pitch to his aid and took Neagoe to a nearby hospital.
The 51-year-old has overcome critical moments and can communicate with others, according to Gazeta Sporturilor.
The first words reportedly spoken by the coach to the doctors at the hospital were, 'what's the score?'.
All of the coaches are at the hospital, and several Dinamo players have been in touch regarding his situation.
The entire Dinamo team are expected to visit the Floreasca hospital soon.
A physician from Floreasca Hospital provided details of the coach's status: 'He is conscious, stable and under investigation.
'I can not tell you what happened on the ambulance. He was brought here consciously and stable in terms of vital functions.
'He told us that the diagnosis data should only be provided through the family. We do not know how long he will stay here. Cardiology colleagues will decide.'
Neagoe collapsed in the 25th minute of the match and his players looked distraught. Remarkably, the match still continued and Dinamo lost 2-0 to Craiova.
