Azerbaijani athlete won a silver medal

Azerbaijani athlete Hayle Ibrahimov has won a silver medal at the Diamond League series international tournament, held in honor of the current King Mohammed VI in Rabat, Morocco.

Local media reports, 26-year-old athlete overcame 3,000 meters in 7 minutes, 37,76 seconds.

Ibrahimov was only behind Moroccan Abdelaati Iquider with 0,91 seconds. Top three won by Spanish Adel Mechaal with 7 minutes, 39,51 seconds.

Notably, Hayle Ibrahimov is one of 3 Azerbaijani athletes, qualified for 2016 Rio Olympics. It was the first Diamond League series tournament of Ibrahimov, who trains for the Olympiads under individual program.
