Today, UEFA has held videoconference with representatives of the national association.

Axar.az informs that, the parties have discussed the fate of the domestic and continental tournaments suspended due to coronavirus pandemic.

It has been decided that the championships should be completed in all countries. Thereby, the UEFA has actually permitted the associations to hold matches in summer.

Before this videoconference, the associations were developing a calendar of events compliant with the plans to complete the championships by the end of June. But today, the UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said the season for holding of the championship matches will be extended. But the time of resumption of the tournaments remains unclear. Most countries have suspended all matches till the end of April. At the today’s meeting, the UEFA unambiguously demonstrated that it wishes completion of the competitions and looks for ways of implementation of such completion.

Note that the championships have been suspended in all European countries except for Belarus.
