UEFA has set a deadline for the European Cups

UEFA plans to complete the current European Cup season by August 3.

Axar.az informs that, this was stated by the president of the continental football organization Alexander Jeffer in a statement to ZDF.

The Slovenian official said the remaining matches in the Champions League and Europa League could also be played on national championship days: "The situation is extraordinary. We have to be strong. Once the crisis is over, we can start the rest of the season early. "The '8s' or '4s' final format is still a hypothesis. The main thing is not to endanger the health of players, referees and fans. If the conditions are safe, I see no problem."

With the exception of the Belarusian championship, all UEFA competitions have been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The matches are not expected to resume soon after the summer.
