FIFA chief Infantino contracts coronavirus

FIFA President Gianni Infantino tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Axar.az informs that, the world’s football governing body said in a communique that the 50-year-old Swiss-Italian executive has mild symptoms and is in quarantine for 10 days, according to L'Equipe.

Infantino was elected president of FIFA in 2016.

He was re-elected last year for another four years.

Before serving at FIFA, Infantino worked for UEFA, Europe’s football's governing body.
