Formula 1 driver Lando Norris contracts coronavirus

Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has tested positive for coronavirus, his team said on Tuesday.

Axar.az reports that McLaren said on Twitter that the 21-year-old was tested after he recognized a diminished sense of smell and taste.

"I feel alright and have no other symptoms," tweeted the British driver, who is now self-isolating for two weeks in a hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he went on a holiday before the start of the 2021 season.

After completing the mandatory quarantine period, he is expected to join his team to prepare for the upcoming season.
