Tokyo 2020: Medalists will be able to remove their masks

Tokyo Summer Olympics medalists are allowed to take off their masks for 30 seconds.

Axar.az reports that the decision was made to take photos of the athletes at the awards ceremony. After the anthem, they will be alerted to take off their masks for half a minute. In this case, the winners must follow the rules of social distance.

The Olympians will then wear their masks with the next signal and take pictures with the winner on his podium in a mask.

The Tokyo Olympics will last until August 9.
